Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of WorthKeeping, a shared memory-keeping app for creating boards, inviting friends, and posting photos, videos, voice notes, and written memories together.
1. Your account
You need an account to use WorthKeeping. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country, if higher) to create one.
2. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post — photos, videos, voice notes, written memories, comments. By posting content to a board, you give the other members of that board permission to view it, react to it, and comment on it, consistent with the board's privacy setting and your own sharing choices (see our Privacy Policy).
You give WorthKeeping the limited permission needed to store, process, and display your content back to you and to the people you've shared it with — for example, compressing a photo so it loads quickly, or including it in an export you request. We don't use your content for advertising, and we don't claim ownership of it.
You're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights.
3. Shared boards
WorthKeeping is built around boards you share with other people, so a few things follow from that:
- A board's owner can change its privacy setting, manage members and admins, and delete the board.
- Anyone you invite to a board can see what's already there, consistent with the board's settings, once they join.
- If you leave a board, or are removed from one, memories you posted to it may remain, since other members' memories and activity are woven together with yours on a shared board. Deleting your own memories is always your choice (see Section 5).
- Turning on a public share link for a board or a single memory makes it viewable, without login, by anyone with that link, until you turn it off.
Be thoughtful about who you invite and what you set to public — WorthKeeping can't control what someone does with content after they've viewed or downloaded it.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use WorthKeeping to:
- Post content that's illegal, harassing, hateful, or sexually exploitative of a minor.
- Impersonate someone else, or post content about another person without a reasonable basis for believing they'd be okay with it appearing on a shared board.
- Upload malware, attempt to breach the security of the service, or scrape or bulk-download content that isn't yours.
- Use the service in a way that places excessive load on it (for example, automated or scripted use outside normal app usage).
If you see content or behavior that violates these terms, you can report it in the app, or contact us directly (see Section 10).
5. Deleting content
Deleting a memory moves it to a recycle bin for 30 days, after which it's permanently removed — this gives you a window to undo an accidental deletion. You can also delete your account entirely; see our Privacy Policy for what that removes and how long it takes.
6. Our right to act on content
We can remove content or suspend an account that violates these terms, or that we're required to act on for legal reasons. We'll try to tell you why when we do, except where we're legally restricted from doing so.
7. Service availability
WorthKeeping is provided as-is. We aim to keep it running reliably, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may need to modify or temporarily suspend features for maintenance, security, or improvements. We'll try to give notice of any change that meaningfully affects how you use the service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, WorthKeeping and its operators aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of content. We take reasonable steps to protect your data (see our Privacy Policy), but you're encouraged to keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable — WorthKeeping is a place to share memories, not a sole backup for them.
9. Changes to these terms
If we make a material change to these terms, we'll post the update here and, where practical, let you know directly. Continuing to use WorthKeeping after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
